During this first step of the design project we were instructed to create a cardboard object that could fill a space in the room. The shape had to contain a void in which we would then base the rest of our creations off of. The void we ended up creating was a D shape in the middle of this conical shape we created out of the odd bits of material.

So from that shape we are creating a D shape out of wire in which we could create a building shape that would belong in a tree as a form of economic living. Initial Sketches of which are in our sketchbook.
The idea was to have this cylindrical shape

that has windows all along the side. created out of a material that we suggested would be beneficial to keeping bugs out, and also emulating the grating that we have along the outside of our building block, as seen in the first photo.

The final product we created I thought emulated modern day architecture and really ended up looking like something which could be a design concept for a building that could exist. From a seeming mess we created in the beginning, we managed to create a stream lined building that had practical features for the idea we were thinking of. E.g. the bug prevention on the windows.

The next task was that of creating a wearable item from this initial task. We created many designs e.g. dress designs and shoe designs. But ended up settling on the idea of creating a form of medieval gauntlet. This would contrast against this modern day aesthetic that we initially created, and thought it would be a fun and interesting way of continuing the project.

The gauntlet we made is practical in design and incorporated elements from the design previously.
If we were to make it again we would make it better form and shape so that it fit better and prevented slipping and the articulated parts would be more effective.
