inspired by Enrico Nagel I started by creating a collage piece that I then scanned over using a hand scanner. moving it slightly to create this distorted image. I made sure to mess with the image of the eyes as something which is common in Enrico's work is that the face and eyes are not particularly visible.
Im not completely keen on how this turned out. I feel the colours I used are too garish and do not really portray Art Deco at all. Except I suppose the more architectural lines that have all warped and folded their way up the piece.
I feel like this piece would look better from a distance. Hung up in a gallery and then as you walk forward you can see that it is a human. It looks almost like old 90's curtains or flooring when at a distance. repeated patterns could be fun but ultimately not necessary.
