I am a huge fan of batman comics and media, Alan Moore is a good reference for sequential imagery as his comics portray much emotion and movement in minimal imagery. Focusing on angles and perspective it could make his work good reference material for some of the streets that I have to draw and create for my animatic. Similarly I will be focusing a lot on character faces to betray emotion in how they are feeling since this has to be a silent animatic. Something Alan more portrays very well in this adaptation of the batman and joker story.
The comic book style would be something I would like to emulate. Much like mangaka work, I enjoy the line work and hard shadows of the character design. Creating very intense characters and moments. Something I would like to explore more to the middle of my animatic with the introduction of a "bad guy".
Similarly these hard and dark lines can be used to show the passage of time in the shadows, something I may have to utilise to show that time is passing in my animatic as many months have to go by.
However, His work is highly detailed and lined carefully, something I will not have time to emulate in the weeks I have left to 'animate' So it will have to stay back and be considered just an idea for now.
