Tony chance -Story board artist.

Tony chance is a story board artist who has worked on many films. He has a good once of dynamic movement , coupled with interesting angles and good perspective.

He is a key figure in my research as I need to take note of his sketchy style in the creation of my animatic, as a stylistic choice. I want things to be like a drawing as if the story is an account of things that have happened.

Looking at Tony chances work has shown me that the drawings do not necessarily need to be perfectly lined for this project and that the figures can be bit more loosely interpreted for this project. This is a good realisation as we are on a tight time constraints, And I will need to get as much done as possible in a small amount of time.

However his work has also highlighted the need for backgrounds and environments, something I tend to struggle with. However these also tend to be loosely interpreted with vague shapes representing trees etc. Similarly these sketches to the left are more finalised sketches that you would show investors to make them happy. rather than the rough animatics and thumbnails. So it is possible that some versions of his work are even looser, showing much less detail.
